The Ministry of Interior of the Cypriot Government has created opportunities for foreign buyers to acquire citizenship rights through a number of investment options. In return for such investments a non-European investor will gain irrevocable citizenship for themselves and their dependants. As Cyprus is an EU member state, the applicant will also gain the right to reside, work and study in all 28 EU Member states (including the UK) and visa free travel to 125+ Schengen countries (169 total).
The application process for a Citizenship by an Investment in Cyprus begins with an applicant visiting Cyprus to view suitable property(s) (although this is not mandatory). Prior to his visit to Cyprus, an investor will be advised, which supporting evidence must be brought along from applicant’s country of birth, and which supporting evidence will be acquired during his trip to Cyprus for effective application submission. Once all documents are gathered, the preparation of application file begins and can take up to 7 days.
The estimated processing time for a Citizenship by Investment in Cyprus is 3-6 months, providing that an application is duly submitted and accompanied by all necessary supporting documents.

As agreed between the UK Government and the European Parliament, all EU Nationals residing in the UK prior to the end of the transition period (likely to be no sooner than 2020) will be subject to current Free Movement laws, meaning that any changes in the law after Brexit will not apply to applicants, because the passport can be obtained within 6 months and therefore ahead of the 2020 deadline.
As such the Cyprus program is the only passport program in the world that guarantees the applicant the right to remain in the UK post-Brexit.
